Job Summary: The Registered Nurse (RN) at Avera McKennan is expected to practice at a competent level of nursing care, adhering to the American Nurses Association's (ANA) scope and standards. The RN is responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide care, assuming responsibility for patient outcomes. This position requires floating to other Careflight bases as assigned and may include shifts at different base locations when aircraft is out of service.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program strongly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing is strongly preferred.
• Three years of critical care experience required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meet multi-state licensure requirements.
• North Dakota EMS registration required within 90 days from the date of hire.
• Certification as a Certified Flight Registered Nurse (CFRN) required within two years of hire.
• Valid driver’s license and insurability by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier required.

Work Schedule:

• Rotating Shifts; 72hrs/2wks
