Unit Demographics:
- 16-Bed Observational Unit: The Short Stay Unit handles a wide variety of patient types with a goal of less than 2 days length of stay. Patients may include those with non-emergent chest pain, ERCP, TIA, kidney stones, 24-hour EEGs, long-term trials, appendectomies, and generalized dizziness or weakness without a known root cause.
- Preferred Overflow Unit: This unit serves as a preferred med/surg and orthopedics overflow unit, as well as a preferred overflow unit for stroke patients. All staff are NIH certified and work closely with neurology providers.
Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Short Stay Unit, you will provide high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered care and ensure positive outcomes. This role requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and meet multi-state licensure requirements.
