Position Highlights:

Unit Details:
- 43-Bed Unit: The Surgical Renal Unit at Avera McKennan serves patients with medical, surgical, vascular, nephrology, and urology needs, including those in the Kidney and Pancreas Transplant Program.
- Self-Scheduling: Enjoy the flexibility of self-scheduling, with every 3rd weekend and holiday off.
- Continuing Education: Access to educational opportunities that support certifications such as CCTN, BMTCN, and Medsurg-BC.
- In-Unit Massage Chair: Relax and rejuvenate with an in-unit massage chair available for all staff.
Work Environment:
- Supportive Leadership: Our leaders are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive environment, ensuring optimal nurse-to-patient ratios for your well-being and the best patient care.
Education and Experience:
- A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Graduation from a CCNE or NLN accredited nursing program is strongly preferred.
Licensure/Certification/Registration:
- Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and meet multi-state licensure requirements.
Work Schedule:
- Varied shifts: 7a-7:30p, 7p-7:30a. Weekend and/or night contracts are available.
- Shift Differentials: $3 for hours worked between 7p and 7a, $2 on weekends, and $5 on weekend nights.
Pay:
- The hourly range for this position is $32.00 - $46.50, depending on experience.
