Job Summary: As a Registered Nurse (RN) in an Expanded Role at Avera, you will provide exceptional nursing care in our patient-focused settings. You will supervise staff, coordinate care with ancillary teams, and effectively communicate with providers to ensure the highest quality of patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients and residents
• Supervise and coordinate with nursing and ancillary staff
• Maintain thorough knowledge of nursing theory, practice, and procedures
• Stay updated with the latest developments in nursing and healthcare

Qualifications:

• Education: Associate's Degree required; Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Experience: 3-5 years of nursing experience
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse in South Dakota or eligible for multi-state licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within 2 months of hire
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) within 6 months of hire
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 12 months of hire
  • Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) preferred

Work Schedule:

• Varied shifts, 72 hours every 2 weeks
• Every 3rd weekend and holiday
• Occasional call time

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $31.00 - $46.50 per hour, depending on experience
