Avera St. Marys is currently seeking a Flex Nurse - Registered Nurse (RN) looking to deliver the best possible nursing care in Averas patient-focused settings.

Job Summary

  • The Registered Nurse (RN) is a licensed professional responsible for the delivery of patient care.
  • The nurse is guided by professional nursing standards.
  • The RN may direct activities of other nursing department personnel.
  • All nursing care functions/responsibilities are based on the ANA standards.
  • Staff is required to perform their duties effectively.
  • Adheres to the Nursing Code of Ethics, Averas Mission and Averas Service Excellence Standards.

Education and/or Experience

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing, Associates Degree at minimum.
  • Bachelors Degree is preferred.
  • Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience is required.

Licensure/Certification/Registration

  • Current licensure with the State of SD as a Registered Nurse or multi-state licensure
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff
  • NRP is required by 1 year of employment in Womens Center.
  • S.T.A.B.L.E is required by 2 years of employment in the Womens Center.
  • ACLS is recommended but not required.
  • PALS is recommended but not required.

Work Schedule

  • Varied shifts as needed; PRN
    • 6:45 am - 7:15pm, 6:45 pm - 7:15 am

Pay

The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

  • $50.00 flat rate
