Job Summary: Under the direction of the Operative Services Director, the RN in the Operating Room will perform circulating and scrub nurse duties. Responsibilities include providing nursing care preoperatively, perioperatively, and postoperatively, supporting the surgical team, and adhering to ANA standards and Avera's Service Excellence Standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Circulate and scrub in the Operating Room, assisting the surgical team as needed.
• Provide comprehensive care throughout the surgical process, including preoperative, perioperative, and postoperative phases.
• Ensure compliance with the Nursing Code of Ethics, Avera’s Mission, and Service Excellence Standards.

Education and Experience:

• Graduate from an accredited Registered Nursing Education program.
• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience required.
• At least one year of operating room experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification/Registration:

• Current Registered Nurse licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Ongoing participation in educational opportunities and professional competency maintenance.

Work Schedule:

• Hours: 72 hours per six-week schedule (624 hours annually), not exceeding 1248 hours in a 12-month period.
• Six weekends required annually.

Compensation:

• Flat Rate Pay: $50.00 per hour.
