As a VAD Coordinator, you will be responsible for the coordination of inpatient and outpatient care for patients with a ventricular assist device (VAD). This includes patient, staff, and community education, surgical coordination, clinic visits, and record keeping.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred.
Experience:
- 3 years of experience in Cardiovascular Nursing, Cardiac Surgical Nursing, Cardiac Transplantation, and/or care of patients with ventricular assist devices required.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license to work within the state of California required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Certification of Training from Program Vendor required within 180 days of hire or transfer into the position.
