Responsibilities
- Assist the Unit Manager in planning, organizing, and directing patient care services.
- Demonstrate leadership skills including conflict management, negotiation, team building, communication, and coaching/mentoring others.
- Participate in team meetings and represent clinical staff on appropriate committees.
Qualifications
Education:
- Graduation from an accredited school of Nursing.
Experience:
- 1.5 years of registered nursing experience in surgical services.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current State of California Registered Nurse license.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers by the American Heart Association (AHA).
- National Certification related to specialty and applicable to role within 1 year of hire or entry into job.
- Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required upon entry or transfer into job.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required upon entry or transfer into job.
