Overview:
The Registered Nurse (RN) provides direct patient care to inpatients. This position assesses patients and creates individualized care plans reflective of each patient's needs and goals. The RN supervises care, treatment, and services provided by LPN/LVNs, RNTs/CNAs, and other staff on the assigned unit and shift. This role involves communicating with the interdisciplinary team and reporting patient concerns and condition changes to the supervisor and/or physician promptly.
Qualifications:
License or Certification:
- Current RN licensure appropriate to state regulations
- BLS certification (ACLS preferred)
- CRRN certification preferred
Minimum Qualifications:
- One or more years of experience as a licensed RN required
Machines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment (computer/laptop, telephone, copy/fax machine, calculator, scanner)
- Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Physical Requirements:
- Visual acuity, speech recognition, speech clarity
- Ability to lift, lower, push, pull, and retrieve objects weighing a minimum of 30 pounds, including medical supplies and equipment and transferring and repositioning patients. Reasonable assistance may be requested for tasks exceeding these minimum requirements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Oral and written communication, active listening (must be able to speak and understand English)
- Information ordering, deductive reasoning, social perceptiveness, time management, critical thinking
- Ability to coordinate, analyze, observe, make decisions, and meet deadlines in a detail-oriented manner
- Ability to work independently without continuous supervision

Proficiency or Productivity Standards:
- Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance and punctuality
- Adherence to dress code, including wearing ID badge

- May be required to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, and/or night shifts to meet deadlines
- May be required to work on religious and/or legal holidays on scheduled days/shifts
- May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
