Job Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist in the CVOR, you will facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Ensure the good working order of equipment and instruments.
• Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
• Pass instruments to physicians during surgery and continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies.
• Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.

Requirements:

• Education: High School diploma, GED, or military training.
• Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 months Surgical Tech experience or a graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech program.
• Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. All life support certification cards must be issued by either the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.

Compensation:

• Hourly Range: $25.80 - $38.70 per hour, based on experience.
