Employment Type: Full Time (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per pay period)
Shift: Days
Pay: $37.06 - $57.44 per hour, based on experience

Our expert surgeons collaborate with highly skilled cardiac surgery professionals, including PAs, First Assists, RNs, CSTs, and Perfusionists. With over 15,000 heart surgeries performed, we lead the region in cardiac care. We consistently run two cardiac surgery rooms simultaneously and support TAVR procedures and operations in our new Hybrid suite.

Job Summary:

As a Surgical Technologist, you will facilitate the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Ensure the good working order of equipment and instruments.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
  • Pass instruments to physicians during surgery and continually account for the number and location of instruments and supplies.
  • Receive and process specimens for delivery to the laboratory.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills, make decisive judgments, and work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
  • Education: High School diploma, GED, or military training.
  • Licensure/Certification: State Surgical Assistant or Surgical Technologist registration, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience: Minimum of 6 months of Surgical Tech experience or graduation from an accredited Surgical Tech program.
  • Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. All life support certification cards must be issued by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross.
